Carmen and Repair Cafe with the Cargo bikes made a lovely Gustare tasting (cheese, nut oil and Jebuc bread .. it is brown and local). Once again, a change was made at PMV corner thanks to them.
Tomorrow, we dash to my mum in England and ‘a meet the builder’s event’ at Turners (yes, JWM Turner’s small 1812 house) which is being repaired and a cello recital in a converted church/art centre; and Scotland, where we are revamping, naturally Yellow Castle. Hopefully, you’ll find another group doing exciting stuff on the PMV corner next week!

Cheese – Szilard, Alunis. If you know anyone who is a fan of Alunis cheese, please do get them onto Gustare group and the order chart. G/K is the only weekly delivery to Cluj of Szilard’s cheese. New flavour from Szilard is coming up, Leurda/Medves hagyma flavoured cheese in about two weeks time.

Eggs – Erzsebet (she has 15 chickens and is always so pleased when we buy something from her!), Huedin; ibolya, Damos; Piroska, Damos; Zsuzsi, Horlacea; Erzsi, Damos … you’ll notice many eggs come from Damos … this is because Damos is a country living power house and all grow their own food for chickens. Bozse, Bicalat, Erzsi, Ketesd, Kati, Damos and Zsebe Kati, (with the best hat at market for all time!), Hajni, Bicalat.
Juice – the csipet csapat’s apples in Valeni; pressed in Bica.
Always get everything out of plastic and the paper as soon as possible; even things in clean packaging like Pasta and bread. I’ve been asking how pasta was stored pre-plastic days and I was told that it was put into a clean fabric napsack and suspended. We recommend this!
